Young Creatives Course (Ages 11-14)

The Young Creatives Art Course is designed for kids aged 11-14 who just love art! Whether they’re always sketching in their spare time or experimenting with their own projects, this course is perfect for helping them take those next steps.

We’ll dive into the core basics, build on those skills, and explore how to use them in exciting projects and artworks. Plus, they’ll get to join a community of like minded young artists who are just as eager to learn and grow.

Each term brings something new and exciting, so you can sign up for as long as you like and join the fun for as many terms as you wish! These are live, interactive sessions where we learn together and share ideas. The vibe? Completely relaxed, no pressure, just creativity! I make it a priority to help everyone feel at home, so we get to know each other and create a welcoming, supportive space. What will they learn? Well, a little bit of everything (to a point)! We’ll explore different techniques using a variety of art materials, dive into the core elements of art, and even touch on art history, contemporary artists, movements, and cultural relevance.

It’s a well rounded creative adventure! I’ll guide the group with up close demos on my camera, breaking things down step-by-step when needed, while also encouraging independent exploration. Along the way, I’m here to provide direction, offer tips to help their work, and, honestly, just marvel at how brilliantly everyone is doing. It’s all about learning, growing, and having fun whilst doing it! A material list will be sent to you prior to booking. If you'd like to know beforehand, just drop me an email. If you can’t make it to a session, no worries! I can record it for you - just let me know in advance.

How Online Works

Can teaching art online really work? Absolutely!

In my experience, online classes are both accessible and highly effective. Through live Zoom sessions, I bring high quality art lessons straight to you. Whether you’re in a bustling city, a quiet village, or away from home. I know not everyone has easy access to local art classes or studios, but we all deserve the chance to deepen our creativity and skills in something we love.

During each live Zoom class, we’ll dive into various art techniques, materials, and ideas together, with other like minded creatives who share the same passion.

What You’ll Need:

All you need is a device, a WiFi connection, and some basic art materials. I’ll provide a material list for each class, and I always try to keep it simple and affordable. If you don’t have something, it’s usually easy to find.

The online format gives you an up-close view of the creative process. With one camera focused on the artwork and another on me, you won’t miss a single detail. And if you can’t make a class, no worries, I can record everything so you can catch up later!

TESTIMONIALS

"She has really enjoyed the class and looks forward to it every week. It’s boosted her confidence and creativity, and she’s always excited to share what she’s made. It’s been a really positive experience for her" - Esmat (daughter joined Mini Creatives Club)

----------

"Joella’s kind, calm, and structured approach creates such a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow. She has a wonderful ability to support each child’s unique personality and pace. It’s been a beautiful experience, and we’re so grateful for it. My daughter is 9 and can be quite shy, especially in new groups, so I was a little nervous about how she'd find the experience. But week by week, her confidence grew. She truly looked forward to each session and was so proud of what she was learning and creating." - Lisa (daughter joined the Mini Creatives Club)

--------

"Charlie really enjoys the lessons, his confidence has increased a lot since starting the weekly group and the art work has been fantastic too! Thanks Joella!" - Amy (son joined the Young Creatives Course)
