Mini Creatives Art Club (Ages 7-11)

Mini Creatives Art Club is perfect for young artists aged 7-11 who are just starting out. Through fun, engaging projects, we explore beginner techniques and creative ideas at a relaxed pace, always taking time to chat and enjoy the process.

WHAT DO WE CREATE?

Each term we dive into a brand new creative project. One term we might be exploring animals, another inspired by a famous artist, and the next creating something completely imaginative. Every project is different, so there's always something new to discover, and young creatives are welcome to stay with us for as long as they like.

One of my favourite things about Mini Creatives is the lovely little community we've built. We spend just as much time chatting, sharing ideas and celebrating each other's artwork as we do creating. It's a calm, encouraging space where children quickly settle in, make friends and grow in confidence week by week.

What will they learn?

A whole bucket load of skills (and plenty of fun along the way!).

Each project gently introduces new drawing, painting and creative techniques through simple, easy-to-follow demonstrations. But it's never about simply copying what I do. Together we'll explore how and why techniques work, helping young creatives build real artistic understanding and the confidence to experiment with their own ideas.

There are also plenty of opportunities for children to make creative choices, develop their own ideas and begin finding their own artistic voice, because some of the best moments happen when imagination takes over.

A simple materials list will be sent before your first class, and if your young creative can't make a session, I can record it for them just let me know in advance, as I only record when someone is absent.

TESTIMONIALS

"She has really enjoyed the class and looks forward to it every week. It’s boosted her confidence and creativity, and she’s always excited to share what she’s made. It’s been a really positive experience for her" - Esmat (daughter joined Mini Creatives Club)

----------

"Joella’s kind, calm, and structured approach creates such a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow. She has a wonderful ability to support each child’s unique personality and pace. It’s been a beautiful experience, and we’re so grateful for it. My daughter is 9 and can be quite shy, especially in new groups, so I was a little nervous about how she'd find the experience. But week by week, her confidence grew. She truly looked forward to each session and was so proud of what she was learning and creating." - Lisa (daughter joined the Mini Creatives Club)

--------

"Charlie really enjoys the lessons, his confidence has increased a lot since starting the weekly group and the art work has been fantastic too! Thanks Joella!" - Amy (son joined the Young Creatives Course)
